The Student Records and Assessment Team are split into two distinct teams: the Student Records Team and the Assessment Team.

The Student Records Team is responsible for the student record throughout the entire student lifecycle – from initial enrolment to graduation. They are responsible for key university-wide processes such as:

  • enrolment
  • module choice
  • change in circumstances
  • extenuation
  • arranging examinations
  • preparing data for graduation booklets

The Assessment Team is responsible for delivering university-wide assessment processes, including:

  • management of assessment submission dates
  • assessment marks
  • progression
  • processing of awards
  • reporting and registration

The department Registry Services plays a vital role in supporting the student journey and in ensuring the integrity of academic administration across the institution. The service is structured into three key functional areas:

  • Records and Assessments: manages student records and coordinates assessment processes
  • Student Systems and Data: oversees the development and maintenance of core student systems, ensures data quality and our external statutory returns
  • Student Policy, Casework and Compliance: leads on academic policy, manages complex student cases, and ensures regulatory compliance incorporating UKVI compliance

Together, these teams work collaboratively to deliver efficient, student-focused services that underpin the university’s academic mission.
