Here at Sheffield Hallam University we are recruiting for 2 IT Support Analysts to provide specialist advice and support within the IT Services team, ensuring that requests for technical support are fulfilled within resolution targets, meeting customer needs. Digital Technology Services Directorate. Our Digital Technology Service has been configured not only to deliver excellent IT services, but also to drive major IT development and change. It is a large service focused on enabling, implementing, and supporting a wide range of technology to meet the needs of the University Community.
Role Overview
As an IT Support Analyst, you will deliver specialist advice and support, based on an in-depth knowledge and understanding of first and second line customer support provision, within agreed resolution targets.
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialist advice and support to users within agreed resolution targets.
- Provide first and second line support for IT and AV solutions.
- Support events and related technology requirements.
- Lead operational activities within the relevant service area or function, acting as a point of escalation when required.
- Work weekends and evenings as subject to business needs.
Qualifications
- Experience of carrying out IT and AV solution support activities.
- Knowledge of various types of IT hardware and software.
- Experience of supporting events would be of benefit.
- Willingness and ability to work weekends and evenings.
- Experience of leading operational activities in a relevant service area/function or acting as a point of escalation.
