The Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre is recruiting a Casual Research Assistant to work within the Physical Activity Clinical Champions Programme (PACC). This 12‑week full‑time position (maximum 37 hours per week) runs from July to September.
The Physical Activity Clinical Champions organise and deliver clinician‑to‑clinician training on physical activity in clinical care to NHS health care professionals, supporting improved patient care and outcomes. Working with the Lead Academic you will support the implementation of the programme’s evaluation framework, including in‑depth evaluation of key innovation workstreams: place‑based working, educational approaches and workforce development.
Key Responsibilities
- Co‑develop ethically approved data collection protocols with the Academic Lead.
- Support data collection, analysis and management – organise and store qualitative and quantitative data, analyse non‑complex data and co‑analyse complex data with the Academic Lead.
- Maintain rigorous and detailed records of protocols, results and analysis; contribute to writing project reports and papers.
Qualifications
- Higher degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant subject area such as health education, health behaviour change, rehabilitation, or physical activity/exercise prescription.
- Good knowledge of both quantitative and qualitative research methods and techniques and their application.
- Previous work experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.

Based at the Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre on the Olympic Legacy Park.
