We are looking to expand our team of inspirational Associate Lecturers who deliver high quality learning experiences with expertise gained through teaching, relevant industry experience or both. You may be asked to teach both undergraduate and postgraduate students, usually through lecture, tutorial format, dissertations and supervised projects. You may also be required to contribute to the design of some learning activities and assessments.

You will have well developed and current knowledge and understanding of critical, practical and theoretical issues relevant from an academic and/or professional perspective in two or more of the following:

  • Global Supply Chain and Procurement
  • Lean and Six Sigma
  • Project Management, Process Systems and Tools
  • Project Management, Roles and Communication
  • Law and Supply Chain
  • SAP and AnyLogisitix Software
  • Microsoft Project, Minitab Software
  • Digital Tools and AI

Our division offers a highly regarded portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including the Supply Chain Leaders Higher Degree Apprenticeship, MSc Project Management and MSc Logistics and Supply Chain. We work closely with logistics and supply chain organisations, providing students with real-world insights, industry-relevant experiences, and excellent employability outcomes. Our courses are accredited by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) and Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).

We offer a diverse range of benefits and opportunities to pursue a rewarding and fulfilling career in a supportive environment. You will be contractually enrolled into the Teachers’ Pension Scheme (TPS) – one of the largest and most generous defined-benefit pension schemes in the country. Each year you will earn a secure pension benefit of 1/57th of your salary and the University will pay pension contributions towards the cost of this pension (currently worth about 29% of your salary). For a starting salary of £40,000, for example, the University would pay just over £11,400 in the first year of your employment and you would earn a pension of £702 p.a. for that year (payable from your State Pension Age).
