As part of this programme of work our plant and equipment will be modernised over the next 10 years, creating new opportunities for the business and our colleagues.

Based at our 64‑acre site, sitting in the heart of Sheffield, we are looking for a Demand Planner. This role will involve providing a demand plan which enables accurate forecasting of customer demand through the company's S&OP process.

Role Responsibilities

  • Working as part of the Sales & Operations planning team.
  • Responsible for the input and validation of sales forecasts into the S&OP process.
  • Working with sales, business development and marketing to forecast future demand – including product mix, demand profile, volume and value over time.
  • Maintenance of the sales forecast data within the planning software.
  • Incorporate business intelligence and data analysis to improve sales forecast accuracy.
  • Work with sales to create and manage recovery plans for key demand variances.
  • Work with the S&OP team to identify and manage constraints, issues and opportunities.
  • Monitor the current order book progress, forecast demand and delivery performance to understand impacts on forecast demand.
  • Create and manage demand planning scenarios to assess risk and sensitivity.
  • Monitor and analyse forecast variance and a range of other KPIs.
  • Create and manage sales/demand performance dashboard and reports.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.
  • Support the delivery of the overall planning process.

About You

  • Experience in a similar role.
  • Experience of planning systems and technology, including ERP.
  • Analytical and project skills.
  • Ability to work with a range of stakeholders.
  • Experience of manufacturing planning processes.

Days/Hours of Work

37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, with flexible start and finish time between 06:15 – 09:30 and 14:30 – 18:00.
