Role Overview
The Demand Planner will provide a demand plan that enables accurate forecasting of customer demand through the company's Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
Role Responsibilities
- Work as part of the Sales & Operations Planning team.
- Input and validate sales forecasts into the S&OP process.
- Collaborate with sales, business development and marketing to forecast future demand – including product mix, volume and value over time.
- Maintain sales forecast data within the planning software.
- Incorporate business intelligence and data analysis to improve sales forecast accuracy.
- Create and manage recovery plans for key demand variances.
- Identify and manage constraints, issues and opportunities in partnership with the S&OP team.
- Monitor current order book progress, forecast demand and delivery performance to understand impacts on forecast demand.
- Create and manage demand planning scenarios to assess risk and sensitivity.
- Monitor and analyse forecast variance and related KPIs.
- Create and manage sales/demand performance dashboards and reports.
- Identify and implement process improvements.
- Support the delivery of the overall planning process.
About You
- Experience in a similar demand planning role.
- Experience of planning systems and technology, including ERP.
- Strong analytical and project skills.
- Ability to work with a range of stakeholders.
- Experience of manufacturing planning processes.
Days/Hours of Work
37.5 hours per week, Monday–Friday, with flexible start and finish times between 06:15–09:30 and 14:30–18:00.
