This role is based at our 64-acre site in the heart of Sheffield. Our security team protects the Sheffield Forgemasters site through access control, surveillance & monitoring, maintenance of security systems, building security checks and emergency response. As a Security Shift Officer, you will deliver security services across all areas of the site and report to the Head of Security and Security Manager.
Responsibilities
- Provide security cover and operational support to the main SFEL estate on a 24 hour basis as part of a wider security team.
- Follow all company security policies & procedures under the direction and instruction of departmental management.
- Provide security to access points.
- Conduct regular security patrols.
- Respond promptly to emergencies / incidents.
- Monitor CCTV, alarms and access systems to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Monitor and report on security systems in accordance with company procedures.
- Support colleagues in enforcing company security policies and maintaining professional standards.
Qualifications and Experience
- Holds an SIA Licence.
- Previous security experience.
- Holds a full UK driving licence.
- Proficient using IT software, including MS Office suite and operating CCTV and access control systems.
- Security Gatehouse experience.
- Site security patrolling experience.
- Visitor reception experience.
- Strong communication skills.

Employment Details
This is a full-time role working on average 42 hours per week. 12-hour shifts, days & nights, Monday - Sunday, on a 4 on / 4 off pattern, which will include working some public holidays.
