At Sheffield Forgemasters we have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Health Nurse Advisor to join our team. This role is based at our 64-acre site, sitting in the heart of Sheffield, and will be working as part of our on-site Occupational Health Team. As an Occupational Health Nurse Advisor, you will provide a range of occupational health services and advice which meet the needs of both Sheffield Forgemasters and our colleagues.
What you’ll be doing:
- Ensuring robust compliance with company and departmental policies and procedures through the delivery of OH services.
- Providing advice for management and employees regarding policies and procedures relating to Occupational Health and Safety.
- Promoting workplace health and well-being.
- Working closely with the Occupational Health Physician and Physiotherapist on improvement plans.
- Supporting management in the investigation of work-related ill health.
- Performing drug and alcohol testing in line with the company drug and alcohol policy.
- Inputting into site workplace risk assessments to ensure that OH risks are sufficiently captured and controlled.
- Accepting, triaging, monitoring and reviewing referrals for sickness absence or work-related ill health or injury.
- Providing advice and recommendations in order to facilitate an effective return to work.
- Maintaining accurate confidential employee OH records in accordance with GDPR, NMC and company requirements.
About You:
- NMC Registered Nurse.
- Qualification in Occupational Health at certificate, diploma or degree level.
- Experience in Audiometry and Spirometry testing.
- Strong IT skills, particularly MS Office and OH software packages.

The Working Pattern:
This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday. We offer flexibility in our start and finish times between 06:15 - 09:30 and 14:30 – 18:00.

Many roles also require higher levels of National Security Vetting where applicants must typically have 5 - 10 years of continuous residency in the UK depending on the vetting level required for the role, to allow for meaningful security vetting checks.
