Are you an experienced Occupational Therapist looking to take your first step into management? We are seeking a motivated and skilled HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist to lead our Equipment and Adaptations Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to combine people management with professional and clinical leadership in a specialist service that enables people to remain safe, independent and living well at home. The role requires a strong occupational therapy background and the ability to provide expert guidance to a team delivering complex equipment, housing adaptations and independence-focused interventions.
As Team Manager, you will lead a team of Occupational Therapists and Occupational Therapy Assistants, providing day-to-day management, professional supervision and clinical leadership. You will support staff to deliver high-quality occupational therapy assessments and interventions, ensuring practice is safe, effective and person-centred.
You will:
- Manage and support a specialist Occupational Therapy team delivering equipment and adaptation services.
- Provide professional and clinical leadership on complex OT cases, equipment provision and housing adaptations.
- Develop staff through supervision, coaching and professional support.
- Drive service improvement and ensure performance, quality and customer outcomes are achieved.
- Work collaboratively with health, housing and other partners to deliver integrated solutions for Sheffield residents.
We are looking for someone who has:
- A recognised Occupational Therapy qualification and current HCPC registration.
- Significant experience in Occupational Therapy practice, particularly in equipment, adaptations, housing or community-based services.
- The confidence and credibility to provide professional and clinical leadership to other Occupational Therapists.
- Experience of supervising, mentoring or leading staff and supporting professional development.
- A strong understanding of relevant legislation, safeguarding and person-centred practice.
- Excellent communication, partnership working and problem-solving skills.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
