Responsibilities
- Work closely with the wider communications, public health and air quality teams as well as executive directors and senior managers.
- Engage with communities to develop communications campaigns and provide high-quality communications for the Council to a range of stakeholder audiences.
- Plan and lead engagement events such as focus groups, community events, communications plans and video content for social media.
- Advise senior officers and elected Members on air quality and the communication strategy.
- Communicate confidently with communities and stakeholders, remaining calm under pressure.
Qualifications
- Experienced communications and engagement professional.
- Strong judgement and skills to develop and deliver innovative campaigns telling compelling stories and driving meaningful behaviour change.
- Ability to plan and lead engagement events within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Adaptable, resilient and able to work with a range of stakeholders.
Benefits
- Full-time employees work 37 hours per week for 52 weeks of the year with a generous holiday entitlement.

- Starting salary at the bottom of the grade, with potential to start higher if evidence of higher basic pay is provided.
