As a Senior Social Worker, you will hold a varied caseload and be responsible for assessing needs, developing effective support plans, and delivering high-quality statutory social work. We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Social Worker to join the Children with Disabilities in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a supportive, close-knit, and highly skilled multi-disciplinary team dedicated to improving outcomes for children and young people with disabilities and their families.,

  • Managing a caseload of children and young people with disabilities.
  • Undertaking assessments and identifying areas of need.
  • Developing and reviewing support packages tailored to individual circumstances
  • Completing statutory visits, assessments, reports, and care planning.
  • Building effective relationships with families, education providers, health professionals, and partner agencies.
  • Promoting equality of opportunity, ensuring children and young people can access experiences comparable to those of their non-disabled peers.

You will need to have at least 2 years post qualification statutory experience and have high quality court report writing skills and experience of court work.

Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. We are open to discussions about a wide range of flexible working opportunities which benefit you and the Council, including reduced hour contracts, working part time or as a job share.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
