Overview
In this role, you will help shape Sheffield’s future by developing evidence-based policy and strategy within the Strategy & Public Affairs Team. You’ll work on high-profile city initiatives, briefing senior leaders and engaging with Ministers and national partners. You’ll lead projects that turn ambition into action and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver tangible improvements for residents. This is a chance to contribute to the city’s ambitions in a collaborative, impact-focused environment.

Responsibilities
- Lead the development of evidence-based policy and strategy
- Provide high-quality policy and public affairs advice to senior leaders
- Manage projects that translate ambitions into actionable plans
- Engage with Ministers and national partners to align on policy
- Support engagement with regional and national networks
- Brief senior leaders on government announcements and impacts
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration to tackle complex problems
Key requirements
- Experience in policy development or related field (not restricted to career policy professionals)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret evidence
- Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders
