1 x Temporary Full Time Post – 37 hours per week (Maternity Cover until May 2027)

Location: Solpro and Sheltered Housing Schemes across the City of Sheffield within the Older Persons Independent Living Service.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Older Person’s Independent Living Service for recruitment of a temporary full time Team Manager to cover a period of maternity leave. The successful candidate will have responsibility for a team of staff including Neighbourhood Officers and Caretakers and will be part of a wider Management Team supporting service delivery for OPIL schemes across a geographical area.

The role will require a combination of office and site-based working across the city and a requirement to work out of hours on an on-call rota basis. This will include nights and weekends.

The Older Persons Independent Living Service delivers a housing management and support service to tenants living in our 30 housing schemes across the city. We are transforming the way we work with other services with a focus on prevention to enable older people to live independently and age well, with access to the right support and services as and when they need them.

We are looking for a motivated individual who is customer focused, is an excellent communicator and is passionate about working with older and vulnerable people and improving services. You will have experience of working in partnership, managing change and have knowledge of the challenges facing the housing sector.

You will manage and assist in delivering an innovative, high quality, continually improving and customer focused service across all of our teams. This includes Housing Management and Support, Caretaking service, Young at Heart project, Business support and Tenancy Management.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
