In this key fundraising role, you will lead the development and management of relationships with trusts and foundations, securing funding for projects that make a real difference across Sheffield Children’s Hospital.
Working collaboratively with colleagues across the Charity and the Trust, you will identify new funding opportunities, develop compelling proposals and build strong partnerships with grant‑making organisations.
You will manage an established portfolio of supporters while cultivating new prospects, delivering excellent stewardship and impact reporting to secure long‑term funding relationships and sustainable income growth.
- Manage a portfolio of trusts and foundations, developing tailored engagement strategies to maximise income and impact.
- Identify, research and cultivate new funding opportunities to build a strong pipeline of prospects.
- Write high-quality, persuasive funding applications, proposals and cases for support.
- Work closely with charity and hospital colleagues to gather project information, budgets, outcomes and impact data.
- Deliver excellent stewardship through regular communication, reporting and relationship management.
- Demonstrate the impact of donor support through compelling reports and evidence-based communications.
- Support the delivery of wider philanthropy and fundraising objectives through strong collaboration and partnership working.
- Proven experience in trusts and foundations fundraising, including prospecting, cultivation, stewardship and pipeline management.
- Strong relationship management skills with the ability to develop tailored engagement plans for supporters.
- Excellent written communication skills with experience producing compelling grant applications, proposals and donor reports.
- Strong verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
