Are you detail orientated with a passion for creating a welcoming environment? Do you find satisfaction in knowing that your efforts contribute to the wellbeing of the people around you? We are looking for a Receptionist / Administrator to work at our residential care home based in Sharrow, S11.

Details

  • Hours: 20 hours per week
  • Pay: £12.40 per hour

All new team members are required to attend an induction at our training room in S13 prior to starting work in the care home. These are run every three weeks, starting on a Monday between 9:30am and 4:30pm.

The job role

  • To provide a professional reception service to telephone callers and visitors
  • To be the initial point of contact for resident and staff queries, ensuring that all are passed on to the relevant individual in a timely manner
  • To support the care home with all aspects of administrative support, including maintaining the care home diary and typing support when required
  • To assist in the set-up of new residents on the computer ensuring all information has been provided, entered correctly and updated where necessary
  • To open, sort and distribute mail within the care home
  • To assist with the handling and recording of purchase invoices, petty cash and other financial aspects at the care home
  • To be aware of all policies, procedures and documentation within the charity Policy and Procedure manual and Document file and update these when required
  • To correctly store and file documents in line with regulations
  • To uphold Sheffcare’s values
  • To attend regular training where required
