We are looking for a Team Leader to work at one of our care homes located in Hackenthorpe. This will be a temporary post to cover maternity leave.

Hours: 38.5 hours per week

Shift Pattern: 7:30am to 7:30pm (with occasional night shifts), to work 3 shifts one week and 4 shifts the next week, to include weekends (usually alternate) and bank holiday work

Pay: £14.74 per hour

All new team members are required to attend an induction at our training room in S13 prior to starting work in the care home. These are run every three weeks, starting on a Monday between 9:30am until 3:30pm.

The job role

  • To co-ordinate, formulate and review resident care plans
  • To be an effective member of the management team, taking responsibility as Duty Manager as directed
  • To be responsible for staff development, supervision and appraisals
  • To ensure quality care is delivered to residents in accordance with their individual care plans
  • To liaise with appropriate professionals to ensure that residents receive the necessary support to achieve the goals identified in their care plans
  • To lead by example and co-ordinate service provision whilst working alongside staff
  • To represent the home at charity staff/management meetings as required including those under the disciplinary, disputes, and grievance procedures
  • To ensure, monitor and record security and safety of the home and the wellbeing of the residents
  • To promote and uphold Sheffcare’s values
  • To report effectively on all significant activity during the shift using the correct recording and information systems
  • To implement and uphold safe working practices in line with our regulations and our policies and procedures
  • To attend regular training where required
  • To support positive relationships with our residents, their family, colleagues, and professionals
  • To record care using mobile technology
