Sheer Luxe Is Hiring! Social Media Assistant

We’re hiring a social media assistant to join our fast-growing social team, working across all accounts but with a particular focus on Sheer Luxe Middle East (SL ME) across Instagram, Tik Tok, Pinterest and You Tube.

At Sheer Luxe, we’ve redefined what social content can be for publishers, creating innovative, authentic content that keeps our community engaged and growing.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is obsessed with social and wants to play a key role in growing our presence across the Dubai and Saudi markets.

You’ll take ownership of the day-to-day running and growth of SLME social accounts, while also working closely with the wider social team to film, edit and execute content across our wider channels.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Own the day-to-day management of Sheer Luxe Middle East, working closely with your manager to grow the channel, develop its content strategy and ensure SLME remains relevant, engaging and on-brand.
• Build strong talent and brand relationships across the Dubai and Saudi region, to help grow our network and identify new content opportunities.
• Stay close to what’s happening culturally across the Middle East, bringing local insight, trends, talent and ideas into the content strategy.
• Take a proactive lead in ideation and planning through to filming, editing, scheduling and performance analysis.
• Support the wider social team with filming and editing, getting hands-on with content creation both in the office and on location across our channels and brands.
• Confidently edit social-first video using Cap Cut and In Shot, with a strong understanding of what makes content work on Tik Tok and Instagram.
• Craft engaging, on-brand captions across different platforms and Sheer Luxe brands.
• Manage the SL ME community, replying to comments and building genuine relationships with our audience.
• Stay on top of trends, viral moments and trending audio across both the UK and Middle East.
• Schedule and upload daily content across Instagram, Tik Tok and Pinterest.
• Analyse platform performance and insights, using learnings to improve content and drive growth.
• Bring fresh, social-first ideas to the wider team and actively contribute to the development of Sheer Luxe’s social output.

• You’re obsessed with social media, constantly spotting trends, creators, formats and viral moments before they peak.
• You have a genuine interest in fashion, beauty, lifestyle and Gen Z culture, with a strong understanding of what resonates across different audiences.
• You’re particularly interested in Dubai and Saudi culture, creators, fashion, beauty and lifestyle, and are excited by the opportunity to build relationships across the region.
• You’re confident about taking ownership of a channel and driving things forward independently, while knowing when to ask for direction.
• You’re highly organised, proactive and detail-focused, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
• You’re confident filming and editing social-first content and are comfortable jumping in wherever needed to support the wider UK team.
• You have a strong understanding of Sheer Luxe’s tone of voice and aesthetic and can translate this across different platforms and markets.
• You’re ambitious, creative and keen to make an impact.
• You’re a team player who takes direction well but isn’t afraid to bring new ideas and challenge the team with fresh thinking.

This role requires flexibility, with weekend and evening out-of-hours work forming part of the role, particularly around events, shoots and key moments in the social calendar.

You’ll report to the Head of Social and Social Media Manager, while working closely with the wider UK social team, marketing director and fashion features director and managing editor, ME.

This role is based in our office in SW London. This role cannot be carried out remotely.

Salary: Dependent on experience. Please note this is a junior position – applications from recent graduates and entry-level candidates are welcome.
