The Role
Our client are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced active/integrated transport person to join our Transport Planning Service. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping how people move around Herefordshire, helping to create more connected, healthy and sustainable communities. You’ll be at the heart of delivering ambitious transport and active travel initiatives that make a real difference for residents, businesses and visitors. What will you be doing?
In this varied and rewarding role, you’ll take a leading position in developing and delivering transport strategies and projects across the county. You will:
- Lead the delivery of the integrated transport elements of the Local Transport Plan, helping to shape the future of transport in Herefordshire
- Drive forward the Local Cycling, Walking and Wheeling Infrastructure Plan (LCWWIP), supporting more active and sustainable travel choices
- Identify and secure funding opportunities, developing strong, successful bids that bring investment into the county
- Work closely with partners including Active Travel England, local stakeholders and community groups to deliver shared ambitions
