We are seeking experienced Disrepair Surveyors to join a busy Housing Disrepair Team supporting high-quality housing standards across a large social housing portfolio.

The role involves technical investigations, expert witness inspections, complex repair case management and the preparation of robust reports and evidence relating to housing disrepair, damp and mould.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct CPR 35-compliant inspections and prepare expert witness reports, managing a minimum caseload of approximately three surveys/reports per week.
  • Investigate complex defects including damp, mould, mechanical ventilation and psychrometric conditions, using appropriate specialist equipment.
  • Develop specifications, Bills of Quantities and remedial works proposals.
  • Manage complex reactive repairs and capital works from initial investigation through to completion and sign-off.
  • Monitor works, manage variations and undertake post-inspection assessments.
  • Liaise with residents, contractors, insurers, legal representatives and internal stakeholders.
  • Apply a resident-focused and trauma-informed approach when dealing with sensitive housing issues.
  • Ensure compliance with HHSRS, CPR 35, CDM, COSHH, Health & Safety at Work legislation and DDA requirements.
  • Support insurers and assessors with claims and settlement assessments.
