Overview
Sheer Jobs is recruiting on behalf of a local authority for an outstanding Chief Digital, Data Technology Officer (CDDTO). This is a senior interim leadership role requiring a highly experienced professional with a proven public sector background, capable of leading large-scale digital, data and technology transformation within a complex government environment. You will act as the Council’s principal authority on digital, data and technology, driving innovation, transformation, and system-wide collaboration to deliver modern, citizen-focused services.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic vision for digital, data and technology in alignment with organisational and public sector priorities.
- Act as the senior adviser to executive leadership and elected members.
- Oversee a major digital investment portfolio, ensuring value, governance and delivery.
- Drive transformation through adoption of emerging technologies including AI and automation.
- Lead large-scale, multi-agency programmes, acting as SRO where required.
- Develop and implement enterprise-wide data strategy, governance and ethical frameworks.
