We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter to support our culinary team in maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen environment. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of food preparation and service within our establishment. The ideal candidate will be reliable, hardworking, and eager to contribute to a professional hospitality setting. Previous experience in food service or hospitality is a must.
Duties
- Wash, clean, and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to maintain hygiene standards
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision
- Support the kitchen team in organising supplies and ingredients
- Ensure the cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas throughout the shift
- Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed
- Help with setting up and clearing down dining areas as required
- Follow health and safety guidelines diligently to maintain a safe working environment
Skills
- Experience or familiarity with food preparation, cooking, or kitchen operations is desirable
- Previous restaurant, hotel, or culinary experience is a plus but not essential
- Good organisational skills with an eye for cleanliness and detail
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Strong work ethic with reliability and punctuality
- Basic understanding of hospitality standards and customer service principles is beneficial
