We are recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team.

This role is ideal for someone looking to progress within pharmacy and develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

Responsibilities

  • Support the safe, effective and lawful supply of medicines while working closely with pharmacists and the wider healthcare team.
  • Manage, order, receive and supply medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately.
  • Provide person-centred advice to patients on prescription and over-the-counter medicines, referring to healthcare professionals where appropriate.
  • Support the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, including business processes, stock control and clinical governance.
  • Supervise and support pharmacy support staff as the role progresses.
  • Assist with training and mentoring new members of staff.
  • Maintain high standards through auditing, evaluating services and responding to feedback.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
  • Good communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to commit to the full length of the apprenticeship and working hours.
  • Essential: GCSE in Maths and English (grade 4 or above).
  • Training & Outcome

Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship (equivalent to A-level).

On successful completion, you will be eligible to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPh C).

Training is delivered through a blended learning approach alongside the job.
