Graduate Paraplanner

Shearwater Recruitment is working with an established, independent financial planning firm based in Whiteley that is looking for a Graduate Paraplanner to join its team.
This is an entry-level role for someone who wants to build a career in financial planning. You’ll work closely with experienced paraplanners and advisers, learning how client advice is researched, prepared and delivered.
What you’ll be doing
- Gathering and organising client information ahead of review meetings
- Helping to research pension, investment and protection products
- Preparing client reports, illustrations and meeting packs
- Keeping client records and the back-office system accurate and up to date
- Helping the advice team with day-to-day administration and compliance checks
What we’re looking for
- A degree, ideally in finance, accounting, economics or a numerate subject (relevant work experience will also be considered)
- A real interest in financial planning and a willingness to study towards professional qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and clear written communication
- Confident with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
- Organised, reliable and comfortable working to deadlines
- This role is office-based in Whiteley.
