The Role
Working from our facility in Dunoon, you'll be involved in a varied range of fabrication projects across the marine and industrial sectors.
We are looking for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work, can read engineering drawings confidently, and enjoys working as part of a skilled team.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricating steel, stainless steel and aluminium components from engineering drawings.
- Marking out, cutting, fitting and assembling fabricated components.
- Preparing work for welding and inspection.
- Working closely with welders, machinists and engineers.
- Maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy and workmanship.
- Ensuring work is completed safely and in line with company procedures.
- Required Skills
- Proven fabrication experience.
- The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A positive attitude and pride in their work.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable
- Recognised fabrication apprenticeship or qualification.
- Experience with marine, heavy engineering or structural fabrication.
- Knowledge of EN 1090 and/or ISO 3834 quality requirements.
- Forklift, telehandler or overhead crane experience.
