A fast-growing, mission-driven tech scale-up is hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to help build and scale the core software platform powering their technology. The company is developing tools that help transform agriculture globally. Their platform helps farmers make better decisions that improve yields while reducing environmental impact. It is a genuine tech for good mission focused on sustainability and food security.
You will join a small, high-performing engineering team working closely with the CTO, helping design, build and scale the production systems that underpin the platform. This is a hands-on software engineering role with real ownership, where you will contribute to architecture, performance and reliability as the product continues to grow.
What you’ll be doing:
- Designing and building robust backend services and APIs in Python
- Developing production-grade systems that power core platform functionality
- Improving system performance, reliability and scalability
- Building integrations with external systems and partner APIs
- Contributing to architecture decisions and engineering best practices
- Collaborating closely with engineers and product teams to ship high-quality features
