The purpose of this role is to support the Purchasing Manager in all aspects of purchasing.
Person Specification
In this role, you will be focused on the procurement of goods, service and works to deliver best value to the business.
Key Responsibilities
Working in accordance with Company Quality and Health & Safety procedures at all times
Work closely with the Purchasing Manager and liaise with both internal and external customers providing support for all procurement related requirements.
Raising, placing and amending and progression of Purchase orders
Maintaining an excellent rapour with suppliers and chasing existing /outstanding Purchase orders with suppliers.
Liaising with other internal departments to ensure the Purchasing department is operating in an efficient and compliant manner.
Indirect sourcing and replacing existing products from a list of both approved suppliers and potential new suppliers, achieving the best price.
Monitoring, updating and evaluation of supplier price lists, product lead times and minimum order quantities ensuring both cash flow and warehousing space are taken into consideration and optimised.
Support Purchasing Manager with stock monitoring.
To undertake any other duties from time to time as can be reasonably requested by the company.
KPI monitoring for the Purchasing.
Stock monitoring and reporting / meeting to review stocks.
Monitoring and closing out Purchasing / supplier NCR’s.
