We are looking for an exceptional Employer Partnership Manager to join our Futures Team and play a leading role in connecting young people, employers and industry. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and commercially minded individual who is passionate about employer engagement, apprenticeships, workforce development and creating life‑changing opportunities for learners.

- Contract: Full Time, All Year Round, Permanent
- Hours: 35 hours per week
- Location: Build Academy, Wanstead / Shooters Hill Sixth Form College with regular travel to employer sites
You will work with employers, stakeholders and industry partners to build talent pipelines, develop apprenticeship opportunities, identify future skills requirements and ensure our learners are fully prepared for sustainable employment and career progression.
The Role
This is a strategic and operational role focused on developing and maintaining strong employer partnerships while supporting the growth of apprenticeships, industry placements and employer‑led learning opportunities. Working at the interface between education and industry, you will collaborate with employers, local authorities, industry bodies and curriculum teams to ensure that our provision aligns with local, regional and national skills priorities, labour market intelligence and emerging workforce trends.
You will be instrumental in delivering the college's Futures Careers & Skill Strategy and helping shape a responsive talent pipeline that addresses both current recruitment challenges and future workforce needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, develop and manage strategic relationships with SMEs, large employers, industry bodies and key stakeholders.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employer engagement within the Build Academy.
- Identify current and future recruitment challenges, skills shortages and workforce demands.
- Position Shooters Hill College and the Build Academy as a partner of choice for workforce development, apprenticeships and talent recruitment.
- Develop employer partnerships that generate meaningful opportunities for learners and apprentices.
- Create collaborative solutions that address workforce skills gaps and support business growth.
- Drive apprenticeship growth through the development of new employer partnerships and expansion of existing opportunities.
- Work closely with curriculum teams and apprenticeship colleagues to align programmes with employer requirements.
