Joining a leading UK developer, seeking an experienced portfolio / asset manager who can take ownership of creating and implementing strategic management of the existing JV assets in the portfolio. Taking responsibility for driving the pipeline forward to exceed the business plan.
Essential current experience required:
- PBSA / Student Housing
- Portfolio / Asset management experience
- Experience in / exposure to the student accommodation sector
The role has three distinct focuses:
- Strategic management: of the Group’s investment interests in order to maximise long term value through exits.
- Operational focus: day to day management of the portfolio, working collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders to drive performance.
- Growth strategies: Working with the Group Investment Director on new growth opportunities.
Portfolio Management: Manages the group’s interests in joint ventures on a day to day basis. Actively looking to enhance value across the assets whilst also managing the Group’s risk profile. Overarching responsibility for successful delivery and mobilisation of projects. Working collaboratively with Project Services/Delivery and refurb business to track progress and deal with operational issues. Work collaboratively with Homes team on “homes” strategy alongside landbank.
Reporting: Implement and manage reporting on JV positions, liaising closely with the Groups’ Finance team. Ensure effective management of Group’s land bank and homes assets. Maintain accurate records and prepare reports in the most appropriate format for various forums, meetings, committees etc. in line with reporting cycles.
Engagement: Engage as required with internal stakeholders alongside external debt and equity partners. Attend industry events where appropriate and act as a spokesperson for the Group. Work with the Group Investment Director on new asset management opportunities.
Salary offered £70,000 - £80,000 + £6k car + bonus.
