The position is for a hands-on marketing leader who will take ownership of the marketing function, with a key focus on customer acquisition and team development. This person will be responsible for improving the day-to-day practices of the current marketing team, executing short-term marketing plans, and setting up mid-to-long-term strategies to drive growth.
Joining one of the UK’s leading providers of end-of-life care, operating a network of funeral branches & crematoria, a robust digital platform, and a dedicated call centre.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will have a mix of digital and traditional marketing experience, with a proven ability to implement acquisition strategies and drive results. While there’s a significant opportunity to expand the digital aspect of the business, physical marketing experience (e.g., TV, print, mailshots) is equally valued. This role offers a great opportunity for someone ready to step up from a functional marketing leadership position into a broader strategic role.
This position requires strong leadership, a customer focus, the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders in a matrix organisation, and deep expertise in regulated environments. The Marketing Director will assess and build a high-performing team while ensuring marketing strategies align with compliance requirements, including FCA & CMA rules.
