We are seeking an experienced Finance leader to join our dynamic banking organisation. This strategic, hands-on role will provide deep insights into managing Finance and driving change and automation within the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage 4 direct reports and 9 indirect reports
  • Oversee the month-end process and implement a comprehensive Balance Sheet Analytics framework
  • Serve as the technical expert for all non-Treasury accounting matters, including acquisitions, disposals, consolidation, and BAU activities
  • Lead and optimise the IFRS9 month-end process
  • Support finance change initiatives and assist the Deputy CFO and Head of Financial Control with cost-saving tracking
  • Act as the primary liaison with external auditors, ensuring timely delivery of documents, resolving issues, and reviewing accounts before publication
  • Coordinate Operations and Conduct Risk reporting, controls testing, and data governance reporting
  • Provide ad hoc support to the wider Financial Control team as needed
Qualifications
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with experience leading a technical accounting function in Banking
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge, especially IFRS standards and ERI accounting
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Experience driving process improvements and change initiatives, with an interest in AI
  • Experience working with external auditors
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with financial reporting systems
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
