Overview
The Analyst role will assist in developing, building and managing the Speciality Finance activity for Shawbrook whilst achieving targeted levels of profitability, return on capital and origination. This is an ideal opportunity for an individual seeking to develop a career within Structured Lending Origination.
Responsibilities
- To assist with the origination of new to bank business in the speciality finance market including attending market events and conferences and building strong relationships with introducers and new to bank prospects.
- To assist in the execution of new business facilities for UK based alternative / speciality finance companies in contribution towards the Structured Lending financial objectives. This will include attendance of due diligence days and preparation of credit papers.
- To assist with the transfer of new to bank relationships to the Portfolio Management team who will manage the customer in life.
- Develop high standards in assessing and mitigating risks as well as deal structuring documentation and execution.
- Report all issues of regulatory concern through the appropriate channels.
- Communicate and elevate potential issues / risks in a prompt and effective manner.
Qualifications
- Able to demonstrate a degree / CFA / MBA or equivalent business qualification would be highly desirable.
- Proven experience in bank lending (ideally structured finance or real estate) with a focus on credit.
- Experience in executing transactions would be beneficial.
