To manage all client relationships within the assigned portfolio in accordance with the principles of the business model, corporate procedures, and best practices, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data and records, as well as detecting errors and fraud.

  • Develop & maintain strong relationships with clients at the board level, maximizing client lifetime and retention
  • Keep bad debts and losses to a minimum.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the UK healthcare market landscape and stay updated on the latest developments impacting the sector
  • Understand risk drivers including the regulatory landscape (e.g., CQC, CI, Ofsted), monitor triggers, and ensure risk is managed within credit policy and operational mandates.
  • Visit clients according to the required frequency, prepare visit reports, conduct annual reviews, and propose remedial actions if necessary.
  • Review underperforming clients within the portfolio and recommend actions to the Risk/Credit Committee.
  • Analyze client statutory accounts, management accounts, forecasts, and budgets to present to the Risk and Credit Committee. Communicate outcomes to clients in a clear and positive manner.
  • Ensure client submissions, data, and practices adhere to client’s Facility Agreements.
  • Comply with all client reporting metrics, producing reviews/reports as appropriate for internal risk or Risk/Credit committees.
  • Offer appropriate support to clients on a day-to-day basis and resolve queries promptly.
  • Recognize and report compliance breaches, errors, and potential frauds.

The Person

  • Degree-level qualification
  • Finance industry certificate/diploma is advantageous
  • Proven track record of at least 2-3 years in healthcare financing or a similar environment
  • Comprehensive understanding of Leveraged Finance and Commercial Loan products and procedures
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in relevant Financial Services environment
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical and financial analysis skills
  • Knowledge of Healthcare/Corporate Leverage loan products, procedures, and markets
  • Able to handle high volumes of work accurately and efficiently
  • Risk-oriented approach
