The role involves working as part of a team to ensure the timely and accurate administration of the Bank’s savings products. It includes direct communication with customers via telephone and correspondence, ensuring accuracy and adherence to established processes and procedures.
- Account servicing, including responding to secured messages, maturities, cheque processing, and notice requests.
- Processing advices to put accounts on notice for withdrawal or closure, and handling subsequent withdrawals and closures.
- Vetting applications and reviewing IDs to ensure compliance with Money Laundering policies, including performing e-ID checks where appropriate.
- Processing all changes to customer static data.
- Maintaining electronic filing systems.
- Handling customer product inquiries via telephone and providing accurate product information. Flexibility is essential as approximately 20% of the role involves this, with ongoing skill development.
- Identifying areas for improvement in the customer journey.
- Ensuring compliance with SLA for regulated tasks such as ISA transfers.
- Staying updated on Shawbrook products, rates, and T&Cs for personal and business accounts.
- Representing the Shawbrook brand professionally and confidentially.

- Experience in customer service or administrative roles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Customer-focused with a friendly and empathetic approach.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work well in a team.
