We are looking for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our friendly and collaborative team at Shaw Veterinary Centre in Swindon. This role is ideally full time at 40 hours per week including a share of the Saturday rota, however part‑time hours of 30 hours will also be considered. We are happy to be flexible with days and shifts to support family life and work‑life balance.
You will be a key member of our nursing team, working within a supportive practice that values development, patient welfare, and high clinical standards.
The Role
As an RVN at Shaw Veterinary Centre, you will enjoy a varied role including medical and surgical nursing, inpatient care, and supporting consultations. We actively encourage nurses to utilise and develop their full skillset and welcome new ideas, including fear‑free approaches wherever possible. There is no out of hours work, allowing you to enjoy a healthy balance between work and home life.
About the Practice
Shaw Veterinary Centre is a first‑opinion small animal practice caring for the pets of Swindon. Our clinic is dog and cat‑friendly and equipped with modern facilities including digital X‑ray, dental X‑ray, ultrasound, and a fully equipped theatre. We pride ourselves on delivering high standards of clinical care with compassion at the heart of everything we do.
The Team
You will be joining a welcoming and close‑knit team made up of:
- 5 Vets
- 2 Registered Veterinary Nurses
- 1 Student Veterinary Nurse
- A dedicated and friendly reception team
We believe RVNs play a vital role within the practice and actively support professional development. Recent development includes a vet currently completing an exotics certificate and a nurse who has completed a behaviour certificate.
