We’re looking for a dynamic Shop Manager to lead our retail team in driving sales and profitability, managing stock effectively, and delivering outstanding customer service. You’ll be responsible for analysing financial performance, implementing strategies to maximise income—including Gift Aid and community engagement—and maintaining high shop standards. The role involves overseeing administration, security, health and safety, and ensuring compliance with Shaw Trust policies. You’ll also recruit, train, and motivate both staff and volunteers, fostering a supportive and inclusive environment that champions personal development and community impact.

You must be willing to work flexibly Monday to Sunday and have the ability to travel within the local area to offer additional support in our local shops when required.

You will be based in Thame, Oxfordshire.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the retail team to drive sales and profitability.
  • Manage stock effectively and maintain high shop standards.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service and manage shop administration and safety.
  • Analyse financial performance and implement strategies to maximise income (including Gift Aid and community engagement).
  • Ensure compliance with Shaw Trust policies and health and safety requirements.
  • Recruit, train, and motivate staff and volunteers; foster a supportive and inclusive environment that supports personal development and community impact.

Requirements

  • Willingness to work flexibly Monday to Sunday.
  • Ability to travel within the local area to support multiple shops.
