As a Bank Residential Support Worker you will provide consistent, compassionate care to children and young people aged 8‑18, supporting the home during busy periods, staff absences and transitions to maintain stability for those who need it most.
Responsibilities
- Keep children safe by supporting safeguarding and promoting emotional and physical wellbeing.
- Act as a positive role model, demonstrating healthy boundaries, routines and respectful relationships.
- Support daily life, assisting with school routines, meals, activities, interests and bedtime.
- Maintain calm in challenging moments by offering reassurance and emotional regulation when feelings run high.
- Work as part of a team, liaising with colleagues and following care plans and agreed approaches.
- Record key information, contributing to daily logs and ensuring children’s voices are reflected.
Shift and Work Details
- Shifts are allocated based on service need and your availability. They may include long days, waking nights and occasional sleep‑ins.
