Senior Support Worker (Maternity Cover) - Lilac House

Overview

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team in Bicester, Oxfordshire to cover a period of maternity leave, initially for a period of 9 months. Working within our 3 bedded children\’s residential home, you will play a crucial role in supporting and mentoring children and young people; helping them to navigate challenges and achieve their personal goals. You will be responsible for their safety, supporting them with their daily routines, attending medical appointments, supporting with family visits, activity planning, meal preparation and more!

Responsibilities

• Lead a shift and direct roles and responsibilities to support workers, whilst ensuring accurate record keeping is maintained at all times.
• Provide support to the management team and uphold safeguarding of children and young people in all decisions.
• Support daily routines, attend medical appointments, support family visits, plan activities, and assist with meal preparation and other duties as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months experience of working within children\\\’s services, preferably supporting children with complex needs.
• Minimum QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification.
• Availability to work on a shift rota system including weekends and bank holidays and sleep ins.
• A full UK Driving Licence.
