Overview

You will be required to work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and may be asked to cover shifts as needed.

You will also participate in on-call duties for the cluster.

Homes2Inspire are a UK-based provider of children's homes, caring for over 150 children in 53 homes and two semi-independent leaving care facilities across multiple counties.

The deputy manager role is based at Newbury and Stirling House, two-bedded children\'s homes rated Ofsted Good.

The deputy manager will work with the Registered Home Manager and deputise in their absence, overseeing day-to-day operations to safeguard and support the young people in a stable home environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Registered Home Manager and deputise for them in their absence.
  • Oversee day-to-day running of the Children\'s Home and ensure safeguarding of the young people.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to maintain a supportive, safe, and nurturing environment for residents.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with Children and Young People in a residential setting.
  • Recent experience as a Children\'s Home Deputy Manager or as a Senior Support Worker or Team Leader in a Children\'s Home.
  • Experience working with behaviours that challenge.
  • Minimum QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare or equivalent (in line with Ofsted requirements).
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to completing QCF Level 5 in Children, Young People and Families Manager qualification.
  • Flexibility to cover shifts in line with the needs of the home.
  • A full UK Driving Licence.
  • A three-week comprehensive induction package to familiarize you with our way of working, expectations, and training.
