Shaw Trust is a social purpose organisation dedicated to challenging inequality and enabling social mobility. The role of IPS Employment Specialist is focused on working with clients who have mental health support needs to secure sustainable paid employment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) approach, providing person‑centred advice and guidance.
  • Build positive relationships with local employers to place clients in suitable employment.
  • Manage a caseload, including vocational profiling, action planning, job search activities, placement and support while in employment.
  • Coordinate transitional support and manage withdrawal of support once clients achieve sustainable employment.
  • Work as part of a community mental health team or other relevant clinic teams, maintaining integrated relationships.
  • Operate primarily in community settings; minimal home working.

Location Dartford, Kent.
