Salary: Up to £28,650.00 per annum + £46.01 per sleep‑in

Shift Pattern: Rotational shifts including earlies, lates, doubles, and sleep‑ins

About Lillibet House

Lillibet House is a newly refurbished three‑bedded assessment home that opened in early 2023. Designed as an emergency placement setting, the home provides a warm, safe, and supportive environment for up to three young people, both male and female, typically on short stays of around six weeks, sometimes slightly longer. Located in Daventry, Lillibet House is close to local schools and amenities, ensuring young people have access to education and community resources during their placement. The home places a strong emphasis on appropriate practice and short‑term goals, helping young people stabilise and prepare for their next steps. Staff at Lillibet House are trained to manage challenging behaviour and have experience in de‑escalation and restraint when required. A good understanding of mental health, prior experience working with young people, and familiarity with processes are essential skills for the team. Residential Support Workers (RSWs) play a key role in maintaining consistency and safety within the home.

Currently, the young people at Lillibet House enjoy activities such as:

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience with Learning Disabilities (LD)
  • Resilience and ability to manage challenging behaviour
  • Capability for some physical intervention when required
  • Drivers essential (non‑drivers cannot be accommodated)
  • Emotional resilience and the ability to stay calm under pressure
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep‑ins
  • Problem‑solving skills and a proactive mindset
  • Life experience from previous careers or personal challenges
  • A desire to grow – full training and a funded Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare provided

Important Information

We do not offer sponsorship or support with right to work. All applicants must have their own right to work in the UK, permitting them to work 40 hours per week. All successful candidates will undergo pre‑employment safer recruitment checks in line with Ofsted and Homes2Inspire policies.
