This role sits within Shaw Trust's Impact and Innovation team. Its core function is to increase the impact of Shaw Trust's services by identifying opportunities for improvement, building the evidence base for change, and supporting the implementation and evaluation of new approaches across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct mixed‑method research, interrogating quantitative datasets and conducting qualitative fieldwork with staff and participants.
- Use research to understand what is working within services, what could work better, and what is practically achievable within existing delivery and contractual frameworks.
- Liaise with the Senior Foundation Research and Development Manager when research identifies opportunities for programme redesign or new programme development; provide evidence and evaluation that inform design decisions.
- Contribute to Shaw Trust’s external profile by turning internal evidence and insights into thought leadership, policy positions, and impact reporting that demonstrates our commitment to social value generation.
- Work home‑based with travel required as necessary, with access to an office in London.
