Overview
We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team in Brackley, Northamptonshire – NN13. Working within our newly opened 2 bedded children\’s residential home, you will play a crucial role in supporting and mentoring children and young people; helping them to navigate challenges and achieve their personal goals. You will be responsible for their safety, supporting them with their daily routines, attending medical appointments, supporting with family visits, activity planning, meal preparation and more!
Responsibilities
- Lead a shift, directing roles and responsibilities to support workers, whilst ensuring accurate record keeping is maintained at all times.
- Support the management team and ensure safeguarding of children and young people underpins all decisions.
- Build relationships, lead by example, uphold standards, and maintain high quality care in a supportive environment.
- Support children and young people with daily routines, appointments, family visits, activities, meals, and other needs as required.
- Collaborate with the team to create a safe and nurturing environment in a smaller home setting with high staff-to-young-person ratios.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 12 months experience of working within children\’s services, preferably supporting children with complex needs.
- Minimum QCF Level 3 Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification.
- Availability to work on a shift rota system including weekends and bank holidays and sleep ins.
- A full UK Driving Licence.
