About The Home
Parker House is a welcoming three-bedded children's residential home in Bicester, providing a safe, stable, and nurturing environment for children and young people up to the age of 18.
Rated Good by Ofsted, the home is committed to helping children develop confidence, resilience, independence, and positive relationships through therapeutic, child-centred care.
The team works closely with young people, families, social workers, and partner agencies to create opportunities that support long-term positive outcomes.

The Role
As a Deputy Home Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting the Registered Home Manager and leading the team to deliver outstanding care and positive outcomes for children and young people.
- You Will
- Support the Registered Home Manager with the day-to-day running of the home.
- Lead, coach, and develop staff to deliver high-quality care and achieve positive outcomes.
- Promote safeguarding and ensure the welfare of children and young people remains at the centre of all decisions.
- Support the home's compliance with Ofsted regulations, Children's Homes Regulations, and company policies.
- Build positive partnerships with social workers, education providers, healthcare professionals, and other external agencies.
- Participate in admission and risk assessment processes to ensure placements are appropriate and safe.
- Promote a positive health and safety culture throughout the home.
- Act as a positive role model, championing education, independence, and life skills development.
- Build professional, trusting relationships with children and young people through consistent, caring practice.
- Ensure reports, records, and documentation are completed accurately and within required timescales.
- Support service development initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement across the home.
- Hours of Work
This is a full-time position of 40 hours per week.
As Deputy Home Manager, you may be required to cover shifts and sleep-ins to meet the needs of the service.
You will also participate in the cluster on-call rota.
- What You'll Bring
- Experience working with children and young people in a leadership or senior role within a residential childcare or similar setting.
- QCF Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification).
- A sound understanding of safeguarding and children's residential care practices.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- The ability to remain calm and resilient in challenging situations.
- Compassion, empathy, and a genuine commitment to improving the lives of children and young people.
- A full UK Driving Licence is desirable.
