Business Development Manager – Logistics / Transport / Freight Forwarding

£40,000 Basic + BMW Company Car + Quarterly Bonus (8% of Annual Salary)

We are seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager with experience in logistics, transport, or freight forwarding to join our team.

The Role

This is a fully field-based, new business focused position with no set territories. You will manage your own diary, work from home, and spend the majority of your week out meeting prospective customers.

Your Responsibilities

• Generate new business through cold calling, networking, and self‑sourced leads
• Book and attend client meetings
• Identify, pitch, and secure full and part-load opportunities
• Develop long‑term customer relationships and manage existing accounts
• Accurately update activity and pipeline through the CRM system
• Travel regularly across the UK and occasionally to Europe as required
• Work from home when not on visits (WFH)

What We’re Looking For

• Proven background in logistics, transport, or freight forwarding
• Strong hunter mentality with a passion for winning new business
• Ability to build rapport quickly and present confidently to clients
• Self‑motivated, organised, and able to manage your own schedule
• Full UK driving licence
