Assistant to join the team at Wylesfield. You will work under the direction of the Chef to help prepare delicious home-cooked meals and provide services to residents. Wylesfield provides high quality care and puts the needs of residents at the centre of all activities.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Chef with food preparation.
  • Independently prepare hot meals and sandwiches for residents.
  • Load and unload dishwasher, wash equipment unsuitable for dishwasher.
  • Clean kitchen equipment and maintain cleanliness.
  • Collect and distribute crockery from/to care floors.
  • Clear tea trolleys where applicable.
  • Empty kitchen rubbish and keep areas clear.
  • Carry out reasonable requests as instructed by Senior Chef/Chef.
  • Ensure nutritional needs of residents are met.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policy and regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic environment.

Working Hours & Salary

Salary: £13.45 per hour. Working hours: 21 hours per week. Shift times: 11:00 – 18:30. Real Living Wage Employer.
