Compliance Manager in Ledbury

Shaw healthcare is looking for an experienced and proactive Compliance Manager to join our Compliance & Governance team. This is a key role within the organisation, responsible for planning, conducting and following up on rigorous compliance audits and inspections across Shaw healthcare services registered with CQC, CIW, the Care Inspectorate and Healthcare Improvement Scotland. Working closely with Service Managers, operational management teams and colleagues across Head Office, you will provide robust oversight of compliance, identify areas of risk and support services to achieve and maintain high standards of quality and care. You will play an important role in promoting continuous quality improvement, sharing good practice and ensuring that people who use our services receive safe, effective and high-quality care., As Compliance Manager, you will:

• Plan, organise and conduct compliance audits across Shaw healthcare's regulated services in line with an agreed audit programme.
• Maintain oversight of a caseload of regulated services, ensuring required audits are completed and records are accurate and up to date.
• Monitor levels of risk, assess incoming concerns and take appropriate action where required.
• Observe and report on the wellbeing of people using services, identifying areas of non-compliance and raising or responding to safeguarding concerns.
• Produce clear and comprehensive audit reports, communicating findings and setting appropriate actions and timescales for improvement.
• Follow up and monitor actions arising from audits, particularly in relation to services of concern.
• Work collaboratively with Service Managers and operational teams to support the achievement of required improvements.
• Liaise with key stakeholders and colleagues across the organisation regarding compliance, quality improvement and business development.
• Provide relevant professional advice, analysis and support within the organisation's Compliance & Governance framework.
• Contribute to organisational performance objectives, including both quantitative and qualitative measures.
• Ensure good practice is shared across the organisation and that areas of concern are appropriately communicated and escalated.
• Prepare correspondence, reports and other documentation relating to specific compliance issues.
• Maintain accurate records using Shaw's systems and processes.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of practice, ensuring robust and consistent quality standards and appropriate consideration of equality and diversity.
• Support the wider Compliance & Governance team with relevant administrative duties and activities., You will report to the Head of Compliance and Governance and the Director of Compliance and Governance, working closely with the wider Compliance & Governance team.

The role will also involve regular engagement with:

• Service Managers
• Operational management teams
• Shaw Head Office colleagues
• People who use our services and their carers
• External and regulatory stakeholders, where appropriate
