Shaw Healthcare is recruiting for a Clinical Deputy Manager at our Hollybush House Specialist Care Home in Stourbridge.
Hollybush House is a 24-bed service on an exclusive residential development, specializing in Nursing, Dementia, and Disability care.
You will report to the Registered Manager and play a key role in the clinical coordination of the service.
You will support the manager in leading and supervising a large staff team to deliver high standards of care. This role is central to maintaining and developing our care principles of \’wellness, happiness, and kindness\’. You will work with the local community, GPs, and professionals to ensure residents can lead fulfilling lives.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Main Responsibilities:
- Assist the Service Manager in leading staff to deliver high-quality, safe care.
- Coordinate and lead the nursing team to provide person-centered care promoting dignity, privacy, safety, independence, and equality.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory and legislative requirements.
- Manage the effective running of nursing units and liaise with health professionals.
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision.
- Accountable for Infection Control implementation and audits.
Leadership:
- Be a visible, approachable role model for staff.
- Maintain standards of nursing and care aligned with Shaw\’s vision and policies.
- Manage nursing unit operations, including admissions and discharges.
- Support recruitment and onboarding of new staff.
- Conduct regular reviews and appraisals.
- Mentor staff effectively.
- Handle complaints and suggestions proactively.
- Support culture change and employee engagement initiatives.
- Provide leadership in the absence of the Service Manager.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Nurse qualified with a valid NMC Pin.
- Experience as Deputy Manager, Clinical Lead, or Senior Nurse.
- Experience supporting elderly residents.
- Strong knowledge of person-centered care.
- Ability to assess needs and develop care plans for residents.
- Commitment to high standards of care and resident wellbeing.
