Nurse at Homefield House – £21.63 per hour
Shaw healthcare is looking for a Nurse to join the team in Homefield House, Basingstoke. You will join a team that is fully committed to making a difference to the lives of those who we provide care for. Our aim is to deliver the highest standard of care to our service users and to provide the same standard of care that we would expect our own family members to receive. You will be using the latest care technology that will enable you to spend more time with the service users that you care for. Homefield House has an excellent reputation as highly valued provider of care. The needs of our service users are at the centre of all we do every single day.
About the service:
Homefield House is a specialist care centre providing long and short stay dementia nursing care for the elderly, and is situated in a semi-rural location at Park Prewett on the outskirts of Basingstoke. The home provides 24 single bedrooms divided into 6 separate self-contained units, each with its own lounge/dining area.
We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Care Home Nurse to join our team in providing high-quality care to our elderly service users with conditions such as Alzheimer\’s, Dementia, Parkinson’s or other clinical diagnoses. The successful candidate will work closely with our team of care professionals to ensure that our service users receive the best possible care.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assessing patients\’ health and care needs and developing care plans
• Administering medication and monitoring services users response
• Providing nursing care, including wound care and palliative care
• Liaising with other healthcare professionals to coordinate personalised care
• Supporting service users with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Providing emotional support to service users and their families
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records
• Working within the Care Quality Commission (CQC) guidelines to ensure high standards of care
• Contributing to the development and implementation of policies and procedures
• Participating in the induction and ongoing training of new staff members
Qualifications and Experience:
• Experience working in elderly care, including caring for patients with Alzheimer\’s and other dementia-related conditions
• Knowledge of the Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and standards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Ability to work independently and use own initiative
• Commitment to continuing professional development
Salary: £21.63 per hour
Working Hours: 0-hour contract. Shift times can include 07:45-20:15 and 20:00-08:00.
