Team Leader at Ty Cwm in Wrexham

Salary: £14.98 per hour

Hours: 24 hour - mix of day and night shifts

Shift Times: (Days - 07:00-21:30) (Nights - 21:00-07:00)

Shaw healthcare is looking for a passionate and caring Team Leader who is ready to make a positive impact at Ty Cwm, situated in Carmarthen.

Ty Cwm is a 20 bedded purpose built nursing services for people with physical disabilities and complex health care conditions based just outside Carmarthen in Johnstown. The service is based over 2 floors with bedrooms on each floor accessed by a large lift, communal lounges, hydro bubble baths, sensory & activities room and physiotherapy.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead by example, providing guidance and support on shift to promote best practice.
• Administer and record medication safely in line with Shaw policies and procedures.
• Report changes in residents needs or well-being promptly to the Line Manager.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families and colleagues.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date care plans and documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience working with older people in residential care.
• Completed or working towards your NVQ/QCF Level 3 Health and Social care (or equivalent).
• Be flexible, patient, caring, organised and good with people.
• Ability to lead a team and use own initiative.
