Location: Ty Cwm, Lon Y Plas, Johnstown, Carmarthen SA31 3GA

Salary: £12.82 per hour

Hours: Days and Nights available – 28 & 42 hour contract

Shift Times: Days 07:00 – 21:00; Nights 21:00 – 07:00

Overview: Shaw Healthcare is looking for a passionate and caring person who is ready to make a positive impact at Ty Cwm. Ty Cwm is a 20 bedded purpose-built nursing service for people with physical disabilities and complex health care conditions based just outside Carmarthen in Johnstown. The service is based over 2 floors with bedrooms on each floor accessed by a large lift, communal lounges, hydro bubble baths, sensory and activities room and physiotherapy. Outside we have a summer house with sensory garden.

Job Responsibilities: As a Support Worker you will be responsible for promoting physical and emotional support to our service users. This will include, but not limited to:

  • Providing person-centred care in line with an individual’s care plan
  • Offering personal care, which includes assistance with bathing, dressing and hygiene
  • Maintaining accurate documentation of care delivered, including fluid/food intake, activities and incidents
  • Promoting dignity, choice and inclusion
  • Working collaboratively as part of a team and supporting your colleagues in day-to-day duties
  • Maintaining a safe, happy, and caring environment
